He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mirko Grubjesic and Catherine Grubjesic; his sons, Jon (Patti), Jeff (Angela) and Jason; his wife Connie Rice; his sons, Dave Rice (Marie) and Dan Rice (Alicia Moison); his former wife Cathy Grubisich; his stepchild Kelly Heydon (Trevor); his grandchildren, Savanah, Haily and Lyndsay; his brother George Grubisich (late Rose); and his nieces and nephews, Chris, Susan Grubisich, Mel, Michaela, Dean, Dana, Brad and Melanie Dunn.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
