He was predeceased by: his parents, John Simpson and Beatrice Simpson; his son Cody Simpson; his in-laws, Aubrey and Dorothy Hubley; and his brothers-in-law, Don Sarracini, Tom Hubley and Brian Monaghan.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his son Trevor; and his siblings, Sandra Monaghan and Patrick Simpson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Atonement Church (2940 Forest Glade Dr, Windsor, ON N8R1L5). If it had not been for Covid, John would have coached for 40 years and was immensely proud of all the young men (and 4 young women) that he coached over the years.
