He was predeceased by: his wife Violet; and his brothers, Nicholas Schaffer (Ann) and Max Schaffer. He is survived by: his close friend Judy Hannan; his sons, Richard (Kim), Dan, Patrick (Joan) and Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Don Niechcial (Stephanie) and Louise LeBlanc (Ray). He is also survived by many great-grand-children.
