He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cindy Smith; his children, Jody Jackson (George), Jason Smith, Justin Smith (Megan), James Smith and Jessica Dupuis (Justin); his grandchildren, Kailey, Nathan, Austin, Alexia, Ryleigh, Dustin and Maveryk; and his great grandchild Kaleb.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8W1C7). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM and from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the same location.
