He was predeceased by: his children, Katie and Eric; his parents, John Brinkman and Florence Brinkman; his parents-in-law, Denne and Joan Bosworth; his brother-in-law Bill Bosworth; and also Kierstin.

He is survived by: his wife Anne; his siblings, Karen Brinkman, Kevin and Cheryl Brinkman; his siblings-in-law, Joan E. Bosworth, Mary and David Neelands; his nieces and nephews, Melissa (Joe), Laura (Dave), Sean (Christine), Craig, Andrew, Peter, Jenny (Ben) and Steve (Catherine); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Neve, Andrea, Elizabeth, S. J., Rogan, Jet and Fiona.
