She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth M. McNeil and Jack A. McNeil; her husband Jimmy Simpson; and her niece Karen Smith. She is survived by: her son Rick; her nieces and nephews, Bob, Paul, Anne, Carol and Susan; her great-niece Alexis Smith (Simon); and also Donald.

We would be grateful if, in lieu of flowers, donations were made to "Lenore Simpson Memorial Scholarship, University of Windsor", in care of Families First Funeral Home.

She had been a friend and a colleague of my Mother who took Lenore under her wing in the Personnel Agency work in Oakville, until Lenore was ready to fly on her own in her own Personnel business. Lenore could give you the truth on any issue you cared to share with her, but she had such grace that her bare-facts-findings went down as smooth as honey leaving you a little wiser.”
