He was predeceased by: his wife Jorgina; and his parents, Manuel Melo and Maria Rosa Melo. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Silva (Carlos), Sandra Teves (Mark), Diane Melo, Georgina Melo and Kevin Melo; and his siblings, Maria Costa (Fernando) of Portugal, Afonso Melo (Rita) of Portugal, Lidia Cordeiro (late Nicolau) and Adored. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in law and by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
As an expression of sympathy and to honour Manuel's life, memorial donations may be made to the family.
