We bid farewell to Maria Gomes (Windsor, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 30, 2025 at the age of 99. Maria touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her spouse Elson Gomes; her granddaughter Suzanne Savin; her great grandchild Jessica; and her parents, Maria Do Rosario and Manoel Vasconcellos.

She is survived by: her children, Peter Gomes (Jackie), Mary Jane Gomes, Jim Gomes (Pam), Annie Atkinson (Jim) and Maurina Gomes (Michael Adams); her grandchildren, Mike Gomes (Tammy Puskaric), Gabrielle Clarke (Pete Barbour), Charlotte Stojanov (Alek), Angela Seguin (Ron), Amanda Shuttleworth (Josh), Stephen Gomes (Nadia Barzotto) and David Gomes (Kristin); her great grandchildren, Jordan (Lorna), Gaebrielle, Gabe, Maxx, Michael, Preston, Matthew, Leo, Dash, Kaden, Hudson, Adleigh and Dara; and her great great grandchild Leia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt Royal Dr, Windsor, ON N9G2C5).
