He was predeceased by: his children, Susan and Ron; and his siblings, R. J. (Margaret), Verna and Robin.
He is survived by: his sons, Roderick (Helen) and Bob (Nancy); his wife Gwen Purdy; his great-niece Heather; and also Erin Beth Purdy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
