With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Patrick Ernest Janisse (Windsor, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Patrick left this world on February 27, 2026 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Karol; his parents, Marc Janisse and Lucy Janisse; and his brother Thomas Janisse. He is survived by: his children, Shantelle Denis (Dave) and Kyle Janisse (Melissa); his grandchildren, Mikey, Christian and Mia; his friend Della Gabriele; his sisters, Angela Bernard, Suzanne Maziak, Frances Mastromattei, Marianne Simpson, Teresa "Teri" McInnes and Christina "Tina" Martinez; and his sisters-in-law, Pam Balkwill and Shelley Forester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews and a great-great niece.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8W1C7). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (2153 Parkwood Ave, Windsor, ON N8W2J8). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave, Windsor, ON N9H1C9).
As an expression of sympathy and to honour Patrick, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor.
