He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Fitzgerald and Rosalie Fitzgerald; his siblings, Francis (Roslyn), Leo (Carol), Madeline O'Brien (Bob), Ann Coady (late Wally) and Gerald (Lillian); his sisters-in-law, Rosalie Polio (late John) and Delores Kent (Phil); his nephew Sean Fitzgerald; and also, Rita St (Frank), Croix, Philip, Theresa and Catherine.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Fitzgerald; and his children, Kevin (Lysa), John (Micaela), Marie and Brian Fitzgerald (Leslie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
