He was predeceased by: his spouse Germaine "Gerry" Chappus; his parents, Ferdinand Chappus and Jeanne; and his siblings, Marguerite Strawick (Ray), Jane Reaume (Art), Bernadette Dekker (Ben), Pauline Baldwin (Tom), Monica Climie (Van), Marie "Meme" Diotte (Ray), Louis (Dorothy), George (Anne), Tom (Lisa), Ed (Jean), Joe (Helena) and Ferd (Isabelle).
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Smith (Robert), Rick Chappus (Michelle), Gisele Rousseau (Chris), Dan Chappus (Leslee) and Roger Chappus (Sandra); his grandchildren, Scott Sharron (Sandy), Danielle Sharron (Jeff Cartwright), Steve Sharron, Jesse Chappus (Marni Wasserman), Mike Chappus (Jasmine), Alison Pearce (Gerald Grison), Andrea Pearce (Tom Cvetkovic), Matthew Pearce (Lindsay), Daniel Chappus Jr. (Gurpreet), Elizabeth Chappus, Rebecca Chappus (Chris Butcher) and Brandon Chappus; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Katelyn, Brooklyn, Delilah, Simone, Jasper, Sarelle, Hayden, Grayson, Saathiya, Dylan, Violet and Madelyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St, Windsor, ON N8S3V3). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
