He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his former wife Barbara; and his parents, Lilianne Brien and Noel Brien. He is survived by: his children, Rachelle Corr (Michael) and Mike Brien (Barrie); his grandchildren, Mike Brien, Brent Corr (Natalie) and Jacqueline Franklin (Greg); and his siblings, Claude (Joni), Pauline Bisson (Michel), Claire Duchene (Larry), Denise Ganley and Bernie.
