He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Rose Barefoot-Jones and Jimmy Sr. Amaro; his pet Corky; his sibling Joey Amaro; and his sister-in-law Debra Gallant (late Russell).

He is survived by: his wife Diana; his siblings, Pamela Adamo (Leo), Marie Johnston (Tom), Michael Amaro (Barbara), Debbie Amaro (Vince) and Paul Amaro (Laura); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Farrell (Harvey), Douglas Ryan (Wanda), Darlene Whitehead (Bill), Jackie Ryan and Denine Mitchell (Shawn). He is also survived by Uncle.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
