He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve (Eva) and Maurice Sr.; and his brother Girard Amyot. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Amyot; his children, Russell and Kim (Chad Goebel); his granddaughter Hailey Goebel; his siblings, Doreen Latouf (John), Maurice Jr. (Joanne), Real (Joyce), Donald (Lynda) and Wayne Amyot; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Hamara and Deborah Hamara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8N1L8). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
