He was predeceased by: his son John; and his parents, Giuseppe Bitonti and Catarina Bitonti. He is survived by: his wife Luisa (Nee Lopez); his children, Joe (Vivian) and Cathy Bitonti-Ciampa; his grandchildren, Jilly, Samantha (Richard), Jenna (Robbie), Christina (Sam), Antonio and Ariana; his brother Giovanni Bitonti (Rosalia) of Italy; and his brother-in-law Agostino Lopez (Gulietta).
