She was predeceased by: her husband Professor Tansukh Rai Gautama; and her parents, Shrimati Prabhu Devi and Dr. Ganga Ram Deovedi. She is survived by: her children, Arvind Sharda (late Ram Mohan), Parveen Rai Gautama (Rama) and Mahesh Rai Gautama (Tabassum); her grandchildren, Anusuya Prashar (Abhinav), Yogeshver Sharda, Dr. Divya Sharma (Sameer), Neeraj Gautama (Sundeep), Dhananjay Gautama, Geetika Sood (Saurabh), Roopika Moudgil (Rahul) and Jyotsna Sen (Soumik); and her great grandchildren, Nina, Ananya, Aryan, Armaan, Bhaveesha, Girven, Milind, Sahil, Laila, Diya, Ishwar, Krisha, Arjun and Ishaan.
