She was predeceased by: her daughters, Laura and Carolyn; her grandchildren, Michael, Talise, Ashley, Stergulla and William; her parents, Willis and Caroline; and her brothers, Walter, Gordon and Raymond.
She is survived by: her son James. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Shirley's helpful nature was reflected in her loyal support of several charities, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, PETA, the March of Dimes, and MS Canada, among others.
