He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Josie; his sons, John (Amanda) and James; his parents, Alma and Stanley; and his siblings, Dave (Laurie), Wayne and Nancy (Steve). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

“I was greatly saddened to hear of Stan's passing. I worked with Stan at ERCA for many years. He was kind hearted. He loved his family, first and foremost. He also loved his Montreal Canadiens, soccer, floor hockey, foosball and sea bass - not necessarily in that order. Rest In Peace Stan, we lost you way too soon.......
