He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDowall and Margaret McDowall; and his siblings, Archie (Bea), Isobel, James, John (Dora), George (Doris) and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; and his children, Douglas, Gordon (Monica), James, Bruce (Deirdre), David (Deanna), Donald (Lisa), Ian (Tammy), Scott (Michelle) and Nancy McDowall-Dunford (Todd). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto or ALSO would be appreciated by family.
