She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve and Annie; her brother-in-law Martin (Susanne Bohnert); her nephews, Martin Jr. and Erwin; her cousins, Martin and Lucy Schneider; her uncle Steve; and her aunt Mary Hinek of Windsor.
She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children, Susan Bohnert Hamelin (Mark) of Belle River and Douglas Bohnert (Maureen) of Port Elgin; and her grandchildren, Joshua (Jordan), Jonathan (Cheyanne), Nikolaus (Breanne), Jacob (Kristi), Michael (Amber) and Rachel.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Transition to Betterness.
