He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Fantin Esho; his children, Helen Istiphan-Muheljic (Halid) of Windsor, Andre Istiphan of Windsor and Elizabeth Istiphan of Windsor; and his granddaughters, Isabella, Athena and Diana.
As an expression of sympathy and to honour Wahid, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
