He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Baillargeon. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Savard (Larry), Patti Matlock (Keith) and Joshua; his grandchildren, Corey Savard (Gabriella), Matthew Athanasopoulos (Abbey), Alexander Athanasopoulos and Carly McArthur (Christian); his great grandchildren, Savannah Athanasopoulos, Colton, Casey McArthur, Paisley and Ella Maheux; his siblings, Claudia Griebenow (Gerhard), Dennis (Diana) and Irene Tiegs (Cliff); his siblings-in-law, Madeleine Blais (Robert), Raymond Baillargeon (Marie), Angeline Streda (John), Yvette Price (Wayne), Eli Baillargeon (Zorka) and Jacqueline Wade; his pet Loki; his close friend Rocky; and his caregivers, Ron, Sonia and Walter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8W1C7). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (2000 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8W1E2). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Windsor Memorial Gardens (1100 Division Rd, Windsor, ON N8W1Z6).
