Alan Skelton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2025, at the age of 77, Alan Skelton of Wingham, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Skelton and Shirley Skelton (Mason); and his brother-in-law Jim Philpott. He is survived by: his wife Helen Skelton (Bird); his children, Cara and Mike Bester of Listowel; his grandchild Tristan Bester; his siblings, Sharon Philpott of Tillsonburg, Mark and Jenny Skelton of Pefferlaw; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Bird and Andreas Gada of Roseneath; his siblings' children, Lisa Koivu, Gail, Todd McCracken, Madison and Scott Plourde; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kate, Mark, Matthew, Ryan, Alexander, Callen and Tiana.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McBurney Funeral Home (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G2W0).
Donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation, Wingham United Church or the North Huron Food Share in memory of Alan would be appreciated by the family.
