She was predeceased by: her husband George Tervit; her siblings, Don Newman (Betty Mae), Rick Newman, Betty Jane Gill (John) and Marilyn McDonald (Don); and her siblings-in-law, Jeanie Newman, Jean Deans (Jack), Jack Tervit (Jean) and Don Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Les, Kate Tervit of Listowel, Ron, Peg and Keith Cameron of Wingham; her grandchildren, Jordan, Stephanie, Josh, Joel, Nathan, Laura Tervit, Christopher, Nic, Heidi Cameron, Kinsley, Leighton, Emry, Olivia Tervit, Noah, Sawyer and Connor Cameron; her siblings, Doug Newman, Bill and Fran Newman; and her sister-in-law Mary Wallace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McBurney Funeral Home (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G2W0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadina Legion, Br. 180 (183 Victoria St W, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Barb's family.
