He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coulthard and June Coulthard; his in-laws, Don and Margaret Snively; and his brother-in-law Dave Dodsley.

He is survived by: his children, Casey Coulthard of Wingham, Brett, Joanna Coulthard of Barrie, Scott Coulthard of London and Amy Coulthard of Wingham; his grandsons, Luke and Tyson Coulthard; his siblings, Carol Dodsley, Bruce Coulthard, Betty Roe (John) and David Coulthard (Terry); and his siblings-in-law, Darrel and Linda Snively. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
