He was predeceased by : his former life partners, Doreen (Hays) and Shirley (Heimbecker); his daughter-in-law Joanne Young (Fitzgerald); and his siblings, Elwin, Meredith, Worthy Young, Marjorie (Jackson) and Myrtle.

He is survived by : his wife Isabell; his son Robert Young (Jane Swan) of East Garafraxa; his granddaughter Laura Young of Guelph; and his son Earl. He is also survived by family, and by friends.
