It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Newell of Wingham, Ontario, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gail Newell to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her son Michael; her parents, Canako Ohama (Tosuo) and Seizen Teruya; her siblings, Bob (Ellie Wiggett), Gene (Faye Fraser), Gary Teruya (Freida Issac) and Patricia Mead; and her parents-in-law, Jim and Dorothy Newell.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Newell; her children, Karen Newell, Doug Newell (Dianne Campbell) and Joel Newell (Kelly Stacey); her grandchildren, Devon Newell and Charmane Newell (Kurtis); and her brothers-in-law, Earl Mead and John Newell (Virginia).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
