He was predeceased by : his brother Vern Schmidt; his parents, Arthur Caswell and Alice Caswell (Legg); and his brothers, George and Barry.

He is survived by : his wife Deb Caswell of Wingham; his children, Jason, Tabatha Caswell, Jamie and Trish Caswell; his grandchildren, Shelby, Kylie and Taylor Caswell; his siblings, Larry Caswell, Helen, Gerald Leudke and Brian Hedley; his parents-in-law, Bob and Theresa Machan; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Schmidtt, Rose Ann, Kevin Adams, Brian, Shelly Machan, Mark, Lisette Machan, Korey Machan and Sarah Williamson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Program or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
