He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Baird and Edna Baird; his brother Lorne Baird; his siblings-in-law, Kenny Leddy, Billy Leddy (Jean), Monica Fear, Alvin Moore and Danny Leddy; and his nephews, Brian Leddy and Peter Moore.

He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Baird; his son Mark Baird (Dana); his grandchild River; his child Shawn Baird; his siblings, Shirley McLeod (Doug), Clayton Baird (Marilyn), Doug Baird (Stella) and Ross Baird (Suzanne); and his siblings-in-law, Denny Leddy (Aileen), Cathy Leddy, Maureen Thomson (Bruce), Bernadette Andrews (Bill), Ann Marie Tiffin (Bevin) and Elizabeth Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbours, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Oncology Unit – Wingham and District Hospital (Wingham and District Hospital Foundation), The Baker Centre for Pancreatic Cancer – London Regional Cancer Clinic (London Health Sciences Foundation) or St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
