She was predeceased by : her husband Alfred Stangen; her parents, Franz Saur and Franziska Saur; and her siblings, Ursula Stangen (Rudi) and Horst Saur.

She is survived by : her children, Meicel, Christine Stangen of Kitchener, Franziska, Michael LaForge of Alberta, Fred Stangen of Monkton and Erika Stangen of Wingham; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Victoria, Cassandra, Jocelyn, Jason, Borje, Mathew, Racheal, Jerry and Wesley; her siblings, Johann (Hannlore Saur), Franz (Mary Saur), Reiner Saur and Erika Jurinec; and her sister-in-law Hildegard Saur.
