Anna Alonzi Obituary
Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of our dear mother, Anna Alonzi, after a long battle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by her family and Father José at Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill on Wednesday October 4th, 2017 at 10:37 pm. Beloved wife of Domenico, loving mother of Marisa (Angelo), Silvia (Joe), and Antonietta (Davood), cherished Ma of Adriano, Krizia, Sam, Giori, Alana, and Sarah. Joined in Heaven with her brother Angelo, her mother Vincenza, and her father Domenico Antonio, giving us comfort she's not alone. A devout Roman Catholic, she is now with God and is resting in peace.
Anna was born on July 5th, 1941 in the small town of Le Compre in Sora, Frosinone. She immigrated to Toronto in 1957, along with her mother, after being sponsored by her father and brother who worked tirelessly to succeed at starting a new life in Canada. Anna proudly worked at Cooper Canada for many years and then as her husband's secretary at Westeel Auto Collision. She gave up her career to begin her dream job of being caregiver for her six grandchildren. She loved being a grandmother.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hill House Hospice would be appreciated. Special thanks to Tatiana, the caregivers at St. Elizabeth, and to the Hill House Hospice staff for providing a peaceful and comfortable environment.
