With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Giovanna Ciantar in Woodbridge, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Gianni; her parents, Domenico Cocco and Assunta Carducci; her sisters, Imperia and Valeria; her siblings-in-law, Romano and Attilio; her in-laws, Charlie, Luigi and Josephine; Fernanda, Luisa and Angelo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Manuela (Chris) and Susie; and her grandchildren, Julia, Daniel and Alessandra. She is also survived by her many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel (2058 Kipling Ave, Toronto, ON M9W4J9). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the Our Lord Church (45 Ludstone Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9R2J2). A burial was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 ON-27, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A5).
