As Alvin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Alvin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Alvin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Scriver; and his parent Eastwood. He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Houghton (Vern) and Kathy Davis (Bob); his grandchildren, Jim Houghton (Kaitlyn), Jennifer Davis (Josh) and Andrew Davis; and his great grandchildren, Jack and Logan Houghton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion or other Veterans organizations would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Smith-LeRoy Chapel of the Glendinning Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, ON (519-537-3611).
