He was predeceased by: his brother Gyozo; and his friend Gus Simon. He is survived by: his wife Katalin Olah (Palinkas); his children, Bert (Patty) and Nancy (Mark); his grandchildren, Evan (Peyten), Eric, Ethan (Hannah), Ashlyn (Peter) and Owen; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Ozzy Olah; and his siblings, Barna (Margaret) and Gizella (Berci).
