He was predeceased by: his wife Doreen MacDonald (Boughner); and his brothers, Doug, Ronald, John and Raymond.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy (Rick Kokoszka), Sandra MacDonald, Stephen (Cindy Pearson) and Bobbi Jones; his grandchildren, Stacie MacDonald, Katie Makris (Demetri) and Kandace Macgillivray (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Sierra, Payton, Hunter, Layla, Jackson, Leo and Max; his sister Jeannette Johnston (George); and his sister-in-law Vera Boughner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
