He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Stewart and Nora Dawdry. He is survived by : his wife Dianne Stewart; and his siblings, Susan Smith (Chris), Kathie Woodhouse (Frank), Sandra McAra, Doug Stewart (Christine) and Dan Stewart (Marlene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S1H1). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Holy Trinity Parish Life Centre (1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S1H1). A burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
