It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Alston Calder of Woodstock, Ontario, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lilian Alston and William Calder. He is survived by : his wife Wendy Calder (Robinette); his children, Nancy, David (Margaret) and Philip (Andrew); his grandchildren, Jenny (Dan), Lauren (Gordon), Ally (Dave) and Reid; his brother Bernard; and his sister-in-law Dale Robinette. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

“I was deeply saddened to learn of George's death. He has been a wonderful cottage neighbor and friend for most of my life. Among my favorite Southampton memories are the bike rides George and I took along the lake road to Port Elgin, and the stops along the way to talk as the waves rolled in. I will miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to Wendy, Nancy, David and Philip. Bob Miller”
