He was predeceased by: his parents, Sytske "Sophia" Veenstra and Anne Westra; and his brother David Westra. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Westra; his children, Andrew Westra (Tammy), Brenda Westra (Ron), David Westra and Jennifer Robinson (Chris); his siblings, Gary Westra (Helen) and Jenny Westra; and his sister-in-law Jackie Westra (late David). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
