It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Mitchell (Woodstock, Ontario), who passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stephen Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Maria Mitchell; his parents, Eugene Mitchel and Elizabeth "Betty" Mitchel; and his sister Lisa Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Mitchell; his children, Lawrence Mitchell (Judy), Tina Evans and Cameron Mitchell (Nikki); his grandchildren, Erica, Caitlin, Kyle, Stephen, Breanna, Marshall, Zackary of Brandon, TJ, Masey, Danielle and Jessica; and his siblings, Maria Pittao (Mario), Denis Mitchell (Nancy), Louise DeSantis (Frank), Tim Mitchell (Maria), Paul Mitchell (Joan), Theresa Pittao (Enzo), Mark Mitchell (Rikki), Loretta Monterio (Joe), Dolores Mitchell and Gene Mitchell (Cheryl).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home (69 Wellington St N, Woodstock, ON N4S6P7). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S1H1). A reception will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Holy Trinity Parish Life Centre (1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S1H1). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (584872 Beachville Rd, Woodstock, ON N4S7V6).
In lieu of flowers, donation in Steve's memory can be made to Operation Smile, or VON Sakura House. Donations are being accepted for: OPERATION SMILE CANADA FOUNDATION (Operation Smile Canada Foundation) Sakura House - VON Oxford (Victorian Order of Nurses, Oxford Community Corporation).
