He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his daughter Julie Bertoia (Wayne); his grandchildren, Drew (Marcus) and Evan; his daughter Jane Bartolo (Bryan); his grandchildren, Sarah Hiller (Ajdin), Ryan Hiller, Emily Hiller, David Bartolo (Lourine) and Megan Sicilia (Alex); his son Alex Thornton (Ashley); his grandchildren, Makayla, Jace and Madison; his mother-in-law Joyce Knechtel; his siblings-in-law, Susan Spilak (Mark) and RJ Knechtel (Kirsten); his nephews, Steven, Mike Spilak and Cody Knechtel; his great-nephew Robert Rooke; his pets, Ben and Oliver; and his caregiver Sandeep.
