We announce the death of Walter Tylek (Woodstock, Ontario), who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 104. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mikolaj Tylek and Stefania Tylek (Pulchna); and his former spouse Cecylia. He is survived by: his sister Alicja Sroka of Krakow; his wife Vera; his children, Donna Janik (late John) of Woodstock, Michael Tylek (Pat) of Calgary, Alberta and Christine Hilstad (Jim) of Gibsons, BC.; his grandchildren, David, Sonia Janik, Christian, Aaron Tylek, Brittany Burton, Cody Hilstad and Sam Hilstad; his great grandchildren, Luna and Violet Burton; his children, Krystyna Yerex (late Brett) of Sarnia and Lisebeth Gatkowski of Toronto; his grandchildren, Master, Anthony Soltys, Barbara Taylor (John) of Toronto, Danielle Soltys-Crone (Neil) of Mississauga and Chloe Gatkowski-Manigat (Pablo Vio) of Toronto; his great grandchildren, Brittany Soltys, Sydney, Cameron, Olivia Taylor, Damien Crone, Alex and Lyra Gatkowski-Vio; and his great great grandchild Remy Soltys. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
