He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Tirva; his parents, William Tirva and Madeline Tirva; and his siblings, Linda and George.
He is survived by: his children, Rosanne Tirva (Joe), Rebecca Tirva (Brian) and Brent Tirva (Brooke); his grandchildren, Darren, Amber (Riley), Abbigail and Alexa; his siblings, Shirley (late Geoff), Rose (late Dave), Ruth (John) and Jean (Tony); and his pet Ashton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home (69 Wellington St N, Woodstock, ON N4S6P7). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Parish (1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S7V9). A reception was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. David's United Church (190 Springbank Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S7R1). A burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Delhi Cemetery (205 James St, Delhi, ON N4B2A9).
