He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Chyrel; his sister Nina Matthews (late Richard); his children, Michael of Niagara Falls, Russell (Patricia) of Hamilton and Bonita Summers of Kelowna; his grandchildren, Akira, Mackenzie, Ezra Currier, Charise Dietrich, Chloe and Madison Lapenna; and his great grandchildren, Erik, Paige, Anastasia, Juniper and Marlow. He was also cherished by sisters and their husbands.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wooler as they brought great comfort to Nick in his final months.
