He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Joseph and Alice Flanagan; and his siblings, Daniel (Flo) and Sheila (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Donna Flanagan; and his siblings, Terry Flanagan (Dorothy) of Halifax, Mary Pink (Bob) of Kingston and Rita Flanagan of Kanata. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
