With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Erwin Stone of Wroxeter, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Erwin left this world on November 1, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Stone and Flindie Stone (Davis); his siblings, Jackie Stone, Betty Stone, Joan Holmes and Jane Charby; and his great grandchild Edgar Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Stone (Parson); his children, Angela Schmidt, Amy Stone and Ian Hakkers; his grandchildren, Josh Sanburn, Josie, Michael Hamilton, Amber Schmidt, Brandon Stone, Katie Curtis, Brody Stone, Hannah Stone and Davin Pehlke; his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Harlen, Wyatt, Kayden, Benjamin, Maverick and Rayar; his siblings, Janet Bithell, Linda Holmes, Earl, John, Peter and Michael Stone; and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Gauthier, Dorothy Parson, Ruth Gautreau and Kenneth Parson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McBurney Funeral Home (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G2W0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Rotary Hospice, Stratford or OneCare Home Support would be appreciated.
