He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Ducharme (Lane); his parents, Juliette Denomme and William "Boy" Ducharme; his siblings, Andrew, Matthew "Mac" and Letitia "Tish" Hawkins; his brother-in-law Harvey Hawkins; his sister Sister Loretta "Toots" Ducharme; his sister-in-law Martha (Ducharme); and his parents-in-law, Helena Josephine (Martin) and Joseph John Lane.

He is survived by: his children, Darcy (Lisa) and Margo (Micah); his grandchildren, Evan (Amanda) and Hilary (Nick); his great grandchildren, Hugo and Thomas; his uncle Paul (Pauly); and his caregiver Dan Bachert of Jessica's House.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to Jessica's House in honour of all who loved Paul and Joan.
