She was predeceased by: her husband Allan Smith; and her parents, Jim Meikle and Mary Meikle. She is survived by: her children, Carol, Bill Deichert, John, Brenda Smith, Lynda and Joel Turner; her grandchildren, Lacey, Bill Loghrin (Hannah), Mindy Deichert, Ethan, Reagan Deichert (Zoey), Brittany, Alex Goes (Kherington), Thomas, Sarah Smith (Sophia), Jim, Nikki Turner (Raina), Mykayla Turner and Melody Turner; and her siblings, Alex (Audrey Meikle) and Carlyle (Penny Meikle). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
