He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Dougay and Veronica Dougay (Bernard); his wife Esther "Tennie" (McMurrer); his sons, Joseph, Edward and John; his son-in-law Robert Noonan; and his family, Melvin (Mary), Myrtle (Doug), Edward "Ned" (Marie), Johnny (Laura), Amiel (Gladys), Eva (Fred), Edna (Philip) and Alice.
He is survived by: his children, Lawson (Darlene), Lloyd (Darlene), Nola (Bryan "Razzy"), June, Morgan (Beverley), Terry (Stacey), Jackie (Kim) and Dwight (Tammy); and his sister-in-law Velda McMurrer (late Lorne). He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter's Church (3394 N Carleton - Rte 10 Rd, Albany, PE C0B1A0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to The Summerset Manor Memorial Trust Fund for materials and equipment to help enhance the residents quality of life.
