She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter J. LeClair and Ermine M. LeClair; her husband Raymond Martin; her children, Melvin and Anita; and her siblings, Doris Pitre, Jerry, Alphonse, Arthur and Joseph LeClair (Joe).
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Harper (late James) of Tignish, Shirley Harper (late Cletus) of Tignish, Paul (Linda) of Alberton, Carmella Pitre (Ernest) of St. Felix, Norma Ratcliffe (Bill Sleeth) of Saint John, NB, Edward (Diane) of St. Roch, LeRoy (Christine) of St. Roch, Rosie Waite (Donald) of St. Roch, Elaine Kinch (late John) of Palmer Road and Cecilia Shea (Floyd) of Anglo Tignish; her daughter-in-law Gail Martin of Charlottetown; her sisters, Alice Allain, Viola LeClair, Stella Allain and Mary Richard; and her sisters-in-law, Irene LeClair, Julia LeClair, Esther LeClair and Linda LeClair. She is also survived by grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel (419 Main St, Alberton, PE C0B1B0). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Simon and St. Jude Church (313 Church St, Tignish, PE C0B2B0).
As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund or to the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, will be gratefully appreciated.
